{"id":44,"date":"2010-10-25T20:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-10-25T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ming.mu\/art\/?p=44"},"modified":"2010-10-26T20:01:19","modified_gmt":"2010-10-26T12:01:19","slug":"ming-mus-artist-statement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ming.mu\/art\/2010\/10\/25\/ming-mus-artist-statement\/","title":{"rendered":"Ming Mu&#8217;s Artist Statement"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Like all of us, I (we) have more or less 15 personalities.<br \/>\nOkay, let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s say more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">We are currently studying painting and drawing (Concordia University),<br \/>\nbut we (like you) come from different backgrounds.<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6It just develops \u001fvarious points of view,<br \/>\nthough we still have just one pair of eyes (it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a pity).<br \/>\nTherefore, we are very interested to see throughout yours,<br \/>\nto get under your skin, and feel your heartbeat.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">We agree with theories stating that art takes part in life :<br \/>\nwe (all of us) are multidisciplinary, and thus,<br \/>\nwe are as much eclectic and schizoid as our lives. And so is our \u00e2\u20ac\u0153style\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.<br \/>\nHence, we believe that one artist does not equal\u001e just one style.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6We love abstraction, \u001dfiguration, performance art, installations, and so on.<br \/>\nWe love creation,<br \/>\nfrom the inspiration to this magic moment where (good and bad) things are happening.<br \/>\nAnd we don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t like. We love.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6We are a joyful mess,<br \/>\nusing a bamboo brush to paint Geishas on the top of acrylic dripping layers,<br \/>\nor turning ourselves into a canvas (in a white dress waiting to be soaked with life\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s colors).<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6And sometimes, we even go for traditional art!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Now tell us about you, that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s what we want to know.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><em>MingMing<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Like all of us, I (we) have more or less 15 personalities.
